FireFox Plugin: Jetpack Image Editor

Dec 03, 2009 11 Comments

Jetpack Image Editor is a Firefox extension which allows you to edit any image on the web. After you installed the extension, right click on the image in Firefox and select Edit Image to activate Jetpack Image Editor. The interface and features are very similar to Photoshop. There are: Tool bar, Layers, History, Adjustment, Filter, and more. Technically speaking, it is like a mini version of Photoshop that runs in Firefox.

That’s a plugin I’ve been looking for now! Thanks for sharing.

Congrats on the new design, I love the art, and the little friends bar on the side, it’s so beautiful in case u did not know that already ;)

on a side not, the Salmon-ish background color, it sure needs some guts to have that on your site permanently. Well done!

Ideal for anyone who doesn’t have the money to shell out on Photoshop or similar. Firefox addons just keep getting better and better…I wonder how much memory this consumes though, presumably it would affect your browsing experience?

That is a very cool add-on, and I hope not to sound retarded for asking, but what would you use this for?

You can use it for editing images. For example, adding effects, blurring/sharpening certain regions, giving the image a black & white or sepia look, etc. :)

Well, it really looks like Pixlr. I’m not sure which service was first. But it’s awesome anyway! I could use it even with my netbook during my last vacation in the mountains.
