Jetpack Image Editor is a Firefox extension which allows you to edit any image on the web. After you installed the extension, right click on the image in Firefox and select Edit Image to activate Jetpack Image Editor. The interface and features are very similar to Photoshop. There are: Tool bar, Layers, History, Adjustment, Filter, and more. Technically speaking, it is like a mini version of Photoshop that runs in Firefox.

Save Extra Bytes by Yahoo Smush.it

Nov 19, 2009 3,839 Comments

In my previous article, Fireworks vs Photoshop Image Compression, I’ve concluded that Fireworks is better for image optimization. But if you want to further cut down the bytes, try Yahoo Smush.it. I did a quick test. I uploaded an image that was optimized by Fireworks and then Smush.it. The smushed image is 11kb less. Go try it yourself! Thanks to Darcy (@darcy_clarke) for suggesting this tool.

Product Review: SumoSac

Sumosac

Once again Sumo Lounge has launched another ingenious product: the SumoSac (super size bean bag). I received a SumoSac couple weeks ago for product review and I gotta tell you, it is one of the most comfortable bean-bag chair I have ever sat in. The SumoSac is a large suede sac filled with shredded furniture grade urethane foam. In addition to its comfort, the Sumosac is stylish and practical. The size of the sac is more than enough space to accommodate two people simultaneously, which is great for playing video games or just chilling with friends. The suede cover is soft and comfy, unlike the nylon cover of the Omni I got a while back. Best of all, it is removable so cleaning is not problem at all. For more details please visit their website.
